Nearly finished with my January exams, with just a Chemistry ISA to go. I am not looking forward to the summer where I have seven AS exams. I have been working on a few things; Tap, Tablet concepts, a possible design for a portfolio website.
Also I have started a new project at school, called extended project, where I have to write a 5000-6000 word dissertation on a subject of my choosing, ideally a question. With the rise of eBooks and tablet PCs, and my interest in printing in general I decided on the question "What is the future of the written word?". I hope to write on the history of publishing, from printing presses to interactive eBooks, like Al Gore's Our Choice, made by Push Pop Press. I will then try and predict what will happen in the future to magazines, textbooks, newspapers and books.
Since I have started the project a term late, I need to do my research quickly, and so I would like to ask if anyone knows of any resources about the history of printing.
