In some ways, this actually does look a bit closer to the original mockups for Adwaita. I think that's one thing I really would like to see more in Adwaita, the subtle tones. Of course, that has issues for readability, so I'm not sure it would happen, but it's worth chatting about what improvements could be made to the overall visual style in GNOME. Also, the buttonized toolbar in that text editor actually doesn't look all that bad with symbolic icons inside. Thanks for sharing your vision, as always.
Have you submitted it to the Gnome design mailing list? This is seriously good and could be seen as a logical path for the design. I love how smooth it looks and how clean it is, great work. Good choice of fonts and icons
Only thing I'd chane is to have the active window icon a little bigger, akin to vanilla gnome.
What a design! I have made my theme some time before [link] , but thats not as good as your design. I can start implementing yours at free time (Friday), if you not started it yet. It will need at least modification of [link] (already started) and we need find some way in theme to modify icons opacity in the dash, one more extension to display full day name.
After that we can make our own distro and make a lot money selling tablets with Gnome preinstalled
